The Longshed comprises a large, ground-floor open workshop space accommodating our boat-building projects and office space, and the John Gibbins Gallery, a mezzanine area specifically designed for cultural and educational events and exhibitions. The Gallery is accessible by stairs or lift and there are toilet facilities (suitable for the disabled) on both floors. If you are interested in booking the John Gibbins Gallery for your own event, please see the Book the Longshed page on this site.
The Longshed is situated in Whisstock’s Place, which is open to the public at all times and is itself a regular venue for town events. This beautiful location beside the River Deben is an ideal starting point for an exploration of the Woodbridge waterfront, including Woodbridge Museum, Woodbridge Tide Mill and riverside walks towards Martlesham and Melton.
